Για τον 'Mensi' , τον Thomas Mensforth τον πρώην ανθρακωρύχο, τη φωνή των Angelic Upstarts που πέθανε σήμερα.

Οι Άγγλοι Angelic Upstarts από το South Shields σχηματίστηκαν το 1977 και καθιερώθηκαν στα ηχεία και τις συνειδήσεις μας ως μια από τις δυνατότερες …φολκ φωνές στο punk rock της εργατικής τάξης, και του αντιφασισμού μέσω της υγιούς υποκουλτούρας (subculture) των skinhead.

Στον απόηχο της είδησης του θανάτου του Mensi, μνημονεύουμε σήμερα το Solidarity, το τραγούδι που κυκλοφόρησαν το 1983 ως ένδειξη στήριξης στην Πολωνική ομοσπονδία εργατικών σωματείων «Αλληλεγγύη» και τον ηγέτη αυτής - και μετέπειτα πρόεδρο της Πολωνίας -, Λεχ Βαλέσα.
