𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 is a long-time veteran in the electronic music scene from 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑘.

He started off his career in 1993 as a DJ, and released his first single as part of the group 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐚 (with 𝐾𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐴𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑛 aka 𝐸𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑢𝑚).

In 1996 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 formed the project 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍.

𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍 was first a 𝐽𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝐵𝑜𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖 & 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑠 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑛 project, but 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑠 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑛 was quickly replaced with 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑜 𝑉𝑎𝑘𝑛𝑖𝑛 for the album "𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝑷𝒐𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒚" (released in 1997 by 𝑆𝑦𝑚𝑏𝑖𝑜𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠). After that album and until now 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍 is a 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 solo project.

𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 was also member of the projects 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 (with 𝑆𝑖𝑑 𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑖), 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 (with 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑠 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑛), 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐲 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 (with 𝐴𝑟𝑖 𝐿𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑒𝑟 aka 𝐴𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡) and of course 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐚 (with 𝐾𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐴𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑛).

𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 has been touring world wide for more than 26 years, performing at the biggest and funkiest trance parties and festivals almost everywhere on the Globe.

With a 6 years break to focus on other aspects in life, 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍 returned in 2014 with a refreshed style, while retaining the dark progressive minimalistic vibes of his music. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 is still a common name on lineups at parties and festivals around the globe.

DJ PHOENIX is 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡, born and raised in 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑐𝑘ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑚, 𝑆𝑤𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑛 in 1973.

𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 started DJ’ing at the age of 14. At the age of 17, while working in a records store, he found acid-house and electronic music and never looked back. He signed his first contract (with 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑐𝑘ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑚 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠) at 18 and released 1 track under the name “𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝”. When he was 19 he started working at a record distribution company as a sales rep and started importing electronic music to Sweden, mainly from Europe. Thru that import he found Goa Trance and immediately fell in love with it and knew that it could become BIG.

At that time 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 and his partners also had their own label called 𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑁𝑜𝑡 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠 and that’s where they decided to start releasing the now infamous, “𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒂” series. First one was a HUGE success all over Scandinavia and the rest of the world. When they released the second chapter, it hit no. 5 in the album charts in Sweden! From there, it just kept going and growing…

In 1998 at it’s peak 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 was in charged of distributing more than 25 of the world’s leading goa/psy-labels exclusively in Scandinavia. He moved to Oslo, Norway and worked as CEO for a distribution company there until the big music-industry crash in 2001.

𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 took a 10 years “break” from the scene, meaning he wasn’t active in it. But in 2010 his fingers started itching… He started 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑝 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 and released the last 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒂 in 2012. Actually released 2012-12-12. After that he was part of 𝐞𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝟗 with his friend 𝑅𝑖𝑐𝑘𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑆𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑛. They released 2 EPs, mastered by 𝑂𝑣𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑜𝑜𝑛 and released on 𝐺𝑒𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑐, and they played a lot in Sweden for 2 years. With the “final” being as a warmup for 𝑆ℎ𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑒 in Stockholm in 2015. During that time 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 realized that he needed to make music on his own, it’s his personal expression, and that’s where he is right now.

𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 has played in many countries and places, both live and as a DJ, mainly on smaller events since that’s where he likes it the best. 𝐼𝑠𝑟𝑎𝑒𝑙, 𝑈𝐾, 𝐺𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑦, 𝐴𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑎, 𝑁𝑜𝑟𝑤𝑎𝑦, 𝐹𝑖𝑛𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑, 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑘 to name a few and at the time he was also a resident DJ at 2 clubs in Stockholm.

His love for Goa stems from the fact that his father was from Turkey, so he has always loved the oriental touch in Goa and the melodies. He was from 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢 and that’s why 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 used that alias as well, to honor him and his heritage.

Even though he has played a lot and all over thru the years, his history and part in the Goatrance scene have mainly been behind the scenes with 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒂, distribution of labels, organizing events and so on… And the 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 and 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢 music was only released on the DG-compilations but still to this day Robert gets e-mails and comments from people discovering, enjoying and loving those old tracks. It truly warms his heart.

In the future 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 wants to focus a bit more on being in front ‘cause he LOVES being on stage, smiling, dancing together with everyone else!

Today he has new tracks in the making and his old tracks from 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 and 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢 will be remastered and released during 2023, but he can’t tell which label yet since it’s not official.

He now also runs “𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔”, an event organizer where they focus on creating retro-events, both when it comes to the music but also the atmosphere. Their next event is in 𝐶𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑛ℎ𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑛 in May starring 𝑂𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝐾𝑜𝑥𝑏𝑜𝑥, 𝐴𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑙 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑤𝑎𝑣𝑒, 𝐹𝑖𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑎, 𝑃𝑠𝑦𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑜𝑠, 𝐴𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜-𝐷, 𝑅𝑜𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑡 𝑎𝑠 𝑃ℎ𝑜𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑥 and many more. And they have other pioneering things in the pipeline, hoping to evolve our scene to the next level.
